Margaret Chase Smith Elementary School

As part of a district-wide restructuring, the Margaret Chase Smith Elementary School was renovated and expanded to accommodate approximately 550 PreK-4th grade students. Originally utilized as a smaller elementary school, the renovations and expansions are a result of a number of school closings and consolidations aimed at providing equity across the district while reducing the educational and vehicular transfers and overall operations and maintenance costs.

Accommodating diverse program needs

A 57,000 square foot two-story addition to the back of the existing school allows for dedicated Pre-K and Kindergarten wings, as well as a full cooking kitchen and cafeteria, gymnasium, art and music classrooms. The renovation also provides for fully ADA-compliant restrooms and a secure entry.

We’d love to work on a project together.
