Harriman lands design awards

Harriman Associates' 2005 Holiday Piece won 2 nd place in a national competition sponsored by the Society of Marketing Professional Services.

This was the second marketing communications award received by the architecture and engineering firm for its holiday piece. The first came from the SMPS Boston Chapter this summer where it won First Place and Best of Show.

This latest award was presented at the SMPS national convention in Hollywood , CA to Lisa Stevens, Associate and Marketing Director of the firm.

The holiday card consisted of seven recipes, one from each of the firm's seven owners, packaged in a circular tin. When the tin is first opened, there's a group photo of the seven owners standing in a kitchen decked out in aprons and chef's hats. The photo is intended to capture the owners' fun personalities.

“I wanted to create something that was fun and memorable and capture the human side of the owners of the company,” said Stevens. “We were surprised and thrilled by the overwhelming response we received from our clients.”

The holiday piece was developed with the help of graphic designer, Erin Flett of studio e flett design and the photograph by Cliff Kucine.

SMPS is an organization of over 5,000 marketing professionals in architecture, engineering, planning, interior design, construction and specialty consulting firms throughout the United States .
