Costin to lead Harriman Associates healthcare design studio

Patrick S. Costin, AIA, has joined Harriman Associates as a partner and will lead the architecture and engineering firm's design studio for healthcare projects.

"We're very pleased to have Patrick as a partner in the firm. His commitment, expertise, and vision will add even greater strength to the Harriman Associates healthcare team," said Edward A. Cormier, P.E., president of the firm.

Costin will be based in the Harriman Associates Portland office, at 66 Pearl Street. The firm, which provides full-service architecture and engineering services throughout New England, also has an office in Auburn.

Costin has a master's degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he studied under a graduate fellowship, and holds a bachelor of arts degree from Lake Forest College.

As an undergraduate, he studied art and architecture in Florence, Italy, and London. A member of the American Institute of Architects, he brings over 20 years of experience to his new position. He is a registered architect in seven states and previously owned his own firm, with offices in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Florida.

His portfolio includes master planning as well as designs for healthcare facilities that have been recognized regionally and nationally for design excellence.
