This new middle school is designed to support the team teaching used for
grades 6-9 and has a three-story classroom wing, with three multigrade
"houses".
The new building relieves severe overcrowding in the district and
provides space for new and expanded programs. In addition to a new library-media
center, the new facility has adequate space for art, music, tech
ed, living skills, band, and chorus instruction.
A full-service cafeteria and kitchen, a gymnasium with bleacher seating,
and an auditorium are also part of the design.
New athletic fields are designed for both school and community.
