A traditional design reflects the mission and values of this new Catholic
high school, and a high- tech infrastructure supports the latest educational
technology systems and computer labs.
The new building is on a wooded 65-acre site, just outside a small city,
and replaces a 50- year-old urban school that needed major repairs and
had no gymnasium or parking area.
A 25-person chapel is at the midpoint of a glass-walled gallery that connects
the lobby with a two-story academic wing on one side and the gym on the
other. The media center is just off the lobby, easily accessible to both
students and church groups.
The new gym has seating for 500, alleviating the current need to rent
space for practices and meets. The cafetorium has a full kitchen, useful
for both school and church activities. s students.
The
school is featured in Learning by Design 2003 published by the
American School Board Journal.
