| Despite constraints of a small, city site, a three-story
wing was added to this vintage 1920s school, providing space for increasing
enrollment and new state-mandated programs. A new library was nestled into the corner of the L-shaped
existing building where it connects with the new addition. Bright and
inviting, with a two- story, skylighted, glass circular wall, the library
is adjacent to the school's academic core, making its use easy. The addition has a new gym and multipurpose area, and
the new lobby and entrance makes use by the community possible without
disturbing classroom areas.
