This
new center has the classrooms the college needs to expand its information
technology program and a new library that provides on-campus study areas
for the commuters who make up the student body.
The curved front sets the building apart and reinforces its prominence at
the head of a planned campus quad.
A southern exposure lets in plenty of natural light -- a
bonus in gray winters. And a shed roof gives shade over a porch in summer.
Clerestory windows on the back of the shed roof let in northern light, which
has fewer of the ultraviolet rays that cause paper to deteriorate.
